This is the companion piece that I worked on with "One Strawberry" a couple of weeks ago. I was more satisfied with the first strawberry. I'm not sure why, but this one was a struggle for me. I may decide to go back and rework it. Somehow these little ACEO 'studies' seem to challenge me a lot. I want each little one to be successful, when they should only help me with my technique and the 'style' that I find ever so elusive....

  1. Don't look now Beth...but you do have a style. I could pick it out anywhere.

It is in the palette you use and in the strokes you apply, and your finished piece.

(Everyone calls work "finished" in a certain way.)

  3. Your ACEO studies are great, Beth. The other one seems brighter than this one. But this one is great too. They'll look nice side by side.

What do you feel it needs?

  4. Thank you Fannie. I'm not sure what it needs. Maybe more texture on the cut pieces.
They might have looked good together, but the first one was mailed to England to the recipient from the ATC trade on ScribbleTalk. So it may just stay in my collection...for now.
